The Steering Committee is composed of representatives from the Health Authorities, Research Institutions, Academia, Industry and Funding Organizations.  Members need to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of clinical research processes to be able to function in an advisory capacity to BCCRIN.  Steering Committee members are responsible for representing their institution / organization / research community to the BCCRIN.  Members bring expertise in their respective areas of research, organizational processes and requirements, and geographic interests.  Members are responsible for informing their constituents and / or management on the progress of BCCRIN to ensure information flow, secure support and effect change.

The Steering Committee meets 8 to 10 times per year.
